Big Noise train, Mozambique.

Five hundred farmers travelled by train to take the message of the need for a fair trade deal at the WTO in Cancun to the agricultural areas of northern Mozambique.

Farm prices are depressed in Mozambique as a result of trade rules that allow cheap imports from developed countries to undercut local produce, impoverishing small peasant farmers.

The trip is part of Oxfam's Big Noise campaign which aims to air the issues and reforms that are needed to Make Trade Fair for poorer countries.
