The first steps in creating a community farm in Burnley in the north of England were taken in October 2003, when a group from Daneshouse & Stoneyholme went to the Eden Project and the Gardens of Heligan. The group were inspired by both places and came back with ideas about what might work in Burnley - including planting bamboo.
