Sir David King
Climate Change: Building a Sustainable Future
Tuesday 6 March
6.30pm Jarvis Hall, RIBA
‘We must act, and quickly, both to reduce the future impacts of climate change and to adapt to those impacts that cannot be avoided.’
Sir David King will examine how a variety of tools are needed to address the challenge of climate change. The built environment is a key to that challenge. It is also an international problem requiring both national and global responses and although the challenge is great, inaction is not an option.
Chief Scientific Adviser to HM Government and Head of the Office of Science and Innovation, Sir David runs the Government's Foresight Programme.
