Two UK groups - the 'Up in Smoke' group of leading NGOs and the umbrella organisation BOND - held an interesting day on 18th June 2007 focused on the implications of climate change for the theory and practice of development.

The speakers were Hilary Benn and David Miliband - both possibly in their last week before being reshuffled - and George Varughese from the Indian NGO Development Alternatives.
