Oh woe is us! Apocalypse and doom and gloom: the earth is dying; species are disappearing; the planet is overheating. You know the sort of stuff you can't help but read everywhere these days. But it's utterly de-motivating. So it's not surprising that people throw up their hands in dismay and pretend it's not happening.
