I have always been a believer in the power of one... If one doesn't, then the other will also not.. But if one does, then she/he can pull the other along..

Hence individual actions matter..and I believe they matter the most..

What's the use of waiting for others to take any initiative.. Years will pass.. nobody will take any initiative.. Its upon us - that is each one of us - to take the initiative..

Many make a ruckus about policies and politicians.. but policies cannot help the environment if we do not help it.. We are on OneClimate, because I presume, we are concerned about our environment..

And its upon us to set the ball rolling.. if our concern is genuine, it will propel us into action.. it does not need to be something radical or revolutionary.. small, sincere steps can make a huge impact:

  • separating waste into bio and non-biodegradable
  • using eco-friendly lighting
  • recycling water and any other usable waste - paper, clothes, etc..
  • optimising energy use
  • not using polythene
  • planting a tree

all of the above are small initiatives, but they work hugely not only to help the environment but also to set examples for others to follow..

It also feels nice, doesn't it - when you take up an initiative out of your own volition and then others follow u.. well...guess thats the way to move towards the change you want to see in the world..
