The UK is well located to tap into tidal power with many potentially favourable sites, particularly in wide river estuaries like the Severn and the Humber. Hull University’s Marine Renewable Research group has been working with a local consortium, Neptune Renewable Energy Ltd, on a device that converts tidal currents into energy. Find out more here.
