Working through the student group KyotoNOW! at Cornell University, I am co-organizing the New York Climate Summit for November 16-18. The purpose of the summit, to be held at Cornell, is to 1) train campus and community organizers to lead campus and community climate campaigns, and 2) to plan a strategy of action to ensure that Albany passes legislation requiring 80% cuts in greenhouse gas emissions below 1990 levels by 2050.
