Well, I chucked a few cloves of garlic into a tub of soil and now they're growing beautifully!

Take an ice cream tub or similar. Add soil. Add garlic clove, 5cm below surface.

Water daily on a windowsill, and watch as a tall slim leaf grows and keeps growing. I'm told they get to a couple of feet tall, and you're supposed to pull them up just before they flower.

So in a few months, practically for free, you can turn a clove of garlic into a bulb of garlic! Woo :)

Do it, you have no excuse not to!
