damn, it didnt link. Sign the petition at Energy Bill 2007

by Chessia on November 3, 2007

In regard to Mad Momma's Gobs of Green: way to go mamma! This is a hilarious video, with a lot of wit and a great tune-maybe more of these will help to save the planet, who knows. Can laughter heal anything? Well, while we are on the topic of SUVs and healing, I thought I would mention an energy bill that is being considered by Congress at present. It is a monumental bill for the US and very important in terms of putting the US on the right track toward thinking green. If passed in its entirety it would create a 35 mpg standard for all vehicles by 2020 and a 15% renewable energy standard for electricity by 2020. The technology exists for both of these things to happen sooner than that, but that is precisely why we need a bill....NO ONE is making changes on their own. (ok, California, you are doing alright) The Big Three car companies are trying to implement a standard of 23 mpg by 2022, which, in my opinion, would be like driving in reverse. Standards on the original model T were better. Pretty scary stuff. Click on http://www.energybill2007.org and sign the petition to let our represenatives know how important this bill is to Americans. And keep making these hilarious videos!
