The Vegan Society recently released an educational CD-ROM, with a large section on how our food choices affect the planet. We sent a letter to every secondary school in the UK, offering each a free copy. Within the space of a few weeks, nearly 400 schools have claimed their free copy!

These schools are now starting to request visits from Vegan Society School Speakers. Our speakers attend a full day of training before going out into schools. This includes the facts from Livestock's Long Shadow - like the fact that the global livestock industry causes far more of our human climate change impact than all transport combined! (Dairy cows are even more of a problem than cattle raised for beef, as they have to eat more to keep giving birth and lactating.
