Loading ...When I try to talk to my parents about global warming or recycling they are always negative! I tried to get my mom to watch An Inconvenient Truth and she just said that she doesn't like bad news!!!!!! I am so passionate about the environment, but it is difficult as it seems as though my parents and friends are against me on this, how do I show them the seriousness of global warming without putting them off or discouraging them?

Hi Bry, thanks for your comment. I am trying but there is always something more to do. Sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed, but I am determined to not give up! Thanks for your help, Im going to keep trying. 
You are obviously doing a wonderful job already but it is disheartening when people you care about just won't listen. It sometimes seems to me that just about everyone seems determined not to 'get it' on global warming. It's so much less scary to pretend that everything's okay and continue to live in ways which guarantee that everything will not be okay at all! I think all you can do is keep repeating your message, gently but persistently, and not give up. |
