In this Age of Stupid, there can't be many stupider plans than those of the British government to build not one but seven new coal-fired power stations. Last year Al Gore remarked: "I can't understand why there aren't rings of young people blocking bulldozers and preventing them from constructing coal-fired power plants." Well there will be if this year's Climate Camp is anything to go by. Running all this week at Kingsnorth in Kent, it culminates in a day of mass action on Saturday August 9th, aiming to shut down the existing Kingsnorth power station.
