Sadarghat

Sadarghat is the largest ghat of Dhaka city, stands in the bank of Buriganga river. Since Mogul and British period it is famous as a river port and business center. But now it has lost its values and standard. As a ghat Sadarghat from the begging is a place of marginalized community. Everyday thousands of people come around the country and stay here. But today because of authority ignorance Buriganga's water and ghat dangerously polluted with city and industrial garage Man made hazards destroy its environment, even here hard to take breaths. The life of ghat community now under threats. They take bath; they take food in this unhealthy atmosphere.
