modupe, there are many many ways........ you emit CO2 whenever you burn fuel (either yourself or by those producing your food for example), let heat escape, travel, etc. It is very roughly around a third each for food (food miles), transport & homes. So you need to take a hard look at what you do in each of these areas and reduce your outputs.
You don't say where you are so I can't be specific but you should find lots of self-help information online. Start by calculating your own carbon footprint & take action on as many areas as you can. See the footprint links on this site.
