Practical Action Consulting is proud to offer two new dates for its popular training course: “Climate Change and the Implications for People and Poverty”.
The Resource Centre, 356 Holloway Road, London, N7 6PA
As climate change becomes increasingly urgent, more people are seeking to expand their understanding of the issues which surround it. This course not only clarifies the basics, such as how weather differs to climate, but also explores the myriad of factors that impact the negotiation processes involving our governments as they discuss this global crisis. Practical Action has a wealth of experience in working with those currently facing the realities of climate change – the poor in the less developed world – and will showcase some of the projects it has already delivered to help people adapt their lifestyles and infrastructure in the face of their changing environment. The two separate dates are timed with December’s 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in mind. Sign up now to the 5 October course and become better informed as pre-conference negotiations continue. Alternatively, attend the 4 December course which falls a day before the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition’s The Wave event, also in London. Be an informed member of the wave! To find out more about the course, please click here (PDF) To book a place on the course, please complete the booking form below for your chosen date and send it, along with payment, to the address provided on the form.
