I feel that we should make efforts to fight the problems before it reaches the point of no return, I am trying to create awareness regarding climate change among people. Our Organisation Pragati - A society for Human Development is dessiminating knowledge through posters ,lectures and interaction with people close to nature.

The real cause of climate change (the one we are constantly in denial about) is our parasitic relationship with the earth that is destroying the host. The answer is symbiotic, compassionate humanity, rather than trying to delay the inevitable through token reductions in pollution, but no reduction in our misplaced material excess and ambitions.

Human beings are going through an internal and external transformation process. Externally, our life conditions are forcing us to examine our assumptions and our behaviors about what it is to be a human being on planet Earth. Climate change is a wake-up call that our life conditions are being modified by our actions, and that we can choose to change our actions so as to come into alignment with the Earth\\\'s natural systems. This is also reflected in our evolution in consciousness toward a more integral view of ourselves in relationship to one another, the planet, and the cosmos. My process involves realizing my/our true nature of oneness with all, and the potential for human creativity as that realization emerges in people all over the world.

I accept that global warming is occurring and is accelerating because of the carbon compounds humankind is pumping into the atmosphere. Being a geologist by training and accustomed to timescales of millions of years, I see this acceleration as vastly more rapid than the natural carbon cycle can cope with. The system is already overwhelmed. I agree with James Lovelock that our present reasonably agreeable climate is probably in the process of 'flipping' into another stable state which will be highly disagreeable to humans and much other life. I have grandchildren and I tremble for their futures but I see nothing changing as the express train of industrialisation and consumerism races towards the unbridged precipice. How often do we read: "We must do something and do it now!"? And nothing changes. I hope OneClimate may precipitate some real changes which help, not just for my children and grandchildren, but also for the billions of poor who are already suffering and who will take the brunt of calamities to come. I am a very practical farmer/geologist and blog my ideas for solutions at It's the Planet, Stupid! and offer some practical suggestions at Mur Crusto eco-farm blog.

To find the best way to live while reducing my footprint as best as possible, then show everyone else how to do it too, that\\\'s what I\\\'m working on.

We're going to have to face up to the devastating implications of the modern way of life or change our way of life. My gut tells me change is the only answer but my head warns me that the modern way of life is highly addictive
