Attitude to Climate Change

We can deal with our impact on the climate, or we can let nature do it for us. It isn't a difficult concept to understand, but the work involved looks hard and boring, and the warning signs are subtle enough to ignore. At first. Those of us in the First World are so insulated from our environment that we don't see or value the things we are already beginning to lose. And we do not see ourselves as a part of the natural world, but as the rulers of it. This attitude is the toughest obstacle we face. And we always think that we can alter the environment to suit us. I want somebody's grandchildren to enjoy fresh fish, sunshine and trees. I don't care that they won't be my descendants. I want to at least see the beginnings of a world where we see ourselves as part of the web of life, not as separate from it. I enjoy being outside, and I like watching the seasons change and the other creatures around me.
