Why did we start OneClimate?

  • OneClimate was started by a group of us working at OneWorld.net in September 2006. We had been worrying about how climate change would affect the lives of our children and grandchildren – and were shocked to discover that the livelihoods and health of millions of children, parents and grandparents in other parts of the world had already been destroyed.
  • Climate change was fast becoming the greatest creator of poverty, hunger and destitution the world has ever known. We felt we had to do something, and figured that the best thing was to help link up everyone who wanted to help cool the planet down.
  • Now, in 2008, OneClimate is a growing, worldwide network of people on a shared journey towards a FairCarbon way of life - where everyone will emit no more than their fair share of carbon.

No-one can save the world alone –

but together we can make the difference.
